Few days back, we covered a story about an astonishing drag race in Dubai<\/strong> that saw a sturdy Nissan Patrol<\/strong> surprisingly defeating a Porsche 918 Spyder<\/strong>. The results were unexpected and since then, many speculations have been made about the Nissan Patrol that defeated Porsche 918.\u00a0 We decided to dig a little deeper and tried to find out more about this seemingly innocent Nissan Patrol, here is what we found.<\/p>\n

As expected, Nissan Patrol was modified to an appalling level,<\/strong> thus making it a beast which a stock Porsche 918 Spyder could not match. One-sided nature of the race was a result of a highly modified engine fitted in Nissan Patrol. There were some other modifications too and we\u2019ll talk about them later in this blog.<\/p>\n

Flashback of Dubai Drag Race<\/h2>\n

Moments after defeating a Bugatti Veyron, the driver of Porsche 918 was challenged by a local with his Nissan Patrol. The driver of Porsche 918, Richard Hammond,<\/strong> who is also a famous Top Gear Host<\/strong>, felt assured of winning another drag race against Nissan Patrol. The race began and in no time, Nissan Patrol left Porsche 918 far behind in the competition and won the race.<\/p>\n
